LETSHUOER Planar earphones utilizes nanoscopic magnetron sputtering process, a high-end production technology, on the planar driver of S08, sputters the copper material onto the substrate.
This process yields high stability and long lifespan. In terms of sound performance, it enhances the resolution of high frequencies, which elevates the texture of high frequencies to the next level.
The nanoscopic magnetron sputtering technology coats the diaphragm with a layer of voice coil in addition to conventional drivers’ single layer voice coil circuit.
This makes the S08’s HiFi earbud driver diaphragm a dual-layer coil circuit. Benefits include increasing diaphragm vibration control, reducing resonance frequency, minimizing distortion caused by diaphragm resonance, and effectively enhancing overall transient response speed.
LETSHUOER took matter into our own hands during the customization process of S08 driver unit.
They incorporated a PTR elastic film surrounds at the edge of the diaphragm’s voice coil, which makes the diaphragm perform with greater extensibility and stability.
This effectively optimizes the low-frequency performance, significantly enhancing the depth of the bass and providing a much tighter bass presentation.
An excellent cable was chosen to bring the most out of the earphone units, so to not bottleneck the transducers.
The cables are made from 4 cores of 30-strands 0.05mm silver-plated copper, providing efficient transmission performance, finer musical detail, and a richer sense of space. It is also equipped with modular 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs.
The twist-lock design ensures the durability and reliability of the plugs.
This makes adapting to most source devices a very simple task.
As a professional opera singer and classical musician, I approach audio gear with a particularly refined ear, always seeking clarity, tonal accuracy, and faithful reproduction of acoustic music. I recently purchased the Letshuoer S08 planar IEMs and, overall, I find them to be a solid offering—especially at their price point.
Sonically, the S08 delivers a powerful and engaging listening experience. With the support of a capable DAC (in my case, the FiiO KA13), the IEMs are more than sufficiently loud and offer a smooth and rich tonality. However, from the perspective of someone who listens exclusively to opera, classical music, and jazz, I did find some aspects less suited to my particular needs. The overall tuning leans toward a darker, more bass-oriented sound, with less emphasis on treble clarity and airiness. In full-scale orchestral passages, the soundstage feels somewhat limited, and the distinction between instrumental sections can become blurred. For listeners who prioritize technical precision, openness, and a natural presentation of acoustic instruments, these may not be the ideal choice.
That said, these impressions are highly subjective and based entirely on my specific listening preferences. For general music enjoyment—especially genres that benefit from a fuller low-end—the S08 performs admirably.
The design and build quality of the Letshuoer S08 are impressive. The anodized finish gives the IEMs a premium and elegant feel. Despite being slightly weighty, their compact size allows for a very comfortable and secure fit in my ears. I can wear them for extended listening sessions without any fatigue—they sit so naturally that they’re easy to forget.
One point to note is that the nozzle insertion is on the shallower side. Personally, I prefer a deeper fit, though this may be due to my specific ear anatomy—smaller ears with relatively wide canals—so this may not apply to everyone.
The included cables are excellent in both appearance and function. They have a premium feel and, importantly, they don’t tangle, which enhances overall usability. Additionally, the M11 4.4mm upgrade cable comes with a refined faux leather case, which I find more fitting and protective for the IEMs compared to the standard round plastic twist-case.
Regarding the store: I initially had some concerns, as my messages regarding shipping status went unanswered, which left me unsure about the legitimacy of the site. However, those fears proved unfounded. The IEMs arrived even earlier than expected, well-packaged, and with a thoughtful gift—an M11 4.4mm upgrade cable. I also received a $10 discount through their mailing list promotion, and shipping to Austria was free. In the end, I paid just $79—a very competitive price I couldn’t find elsewhere at the time.
Overall, I would rate the store 4.5 stars, deducting half a star for the lack of communication, but praising the fast delivery and generous inclusion of a bonus cable. I can confidently recommend both the shop and the Letshuoer S08 for casual or general listening. However, if your focus is on high-fidelity playback of classical music, opera, or jazz, I would suggest exploring other options better tailored to those genres.
Classy, smooth (but not boring) sounding IEMs will well defined bass that come well equiped with a range of different ear tips, quality standard cable with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm fittings, and plastic storage case.Shipping was quick.
The S08 IEM is fantastisch in use and unfortunately need more bass
+ Rich sound + Wide soundstage + Excellent balance between coherent, well-tuned sound and strong technical component + Price Definitely one of the best purchases! They can really open up a new world of sounds for a beginner listener. I was pleasantly surprised how many new details I heard, even without an additional amplifier or converter (just by connecting to the iPhone). Very impressed! Now I'm already thinking about buying s15 or Cadenza4. I'll catch a good price 🙂 I want to sincerely thank LETSHUOER for their high level of technical development and desire to create new, high-tech products in their lines!
